Tiger Milk Mushroom or more commonly known as "tiger milk" got its name from oral narratives among the aborigines. It is a fungus that grows from the tiger's breast milk which dripped onto the soil and came into contact with the air. The Tiger Milk Mushroom belongs to Polyporaceae in the Basidiomycota of the Fungus Kingdom. It is classfied as a unique medicinal fungus with multiple curative effects. Tiger Milk Mushroom is also known as Malaysia's national treasure fungus. The medicinal effects of Tiger Milk Mushroom were discovered by humans more than 400 years ago. It later became a common medicine.
